The Rapid Response Damage Assessment (RRDA) program provides an organized team of engineers, naval architects, master mariners and support staff that can respond 24/7 during emergencies. Enrollment in the RRDA program provides the shipowner and operator with the essential technical support needed after a vessel is involved in a casualty. Activating the RRDA team gives the shipowner access to the professional resources needed to conduct the essential structural and stability calculations in an emergency that could result in the loss of a vessel, loss of all or part of its cargo or pollution of the marine environment.
Our RRDA program complies with the Guidelines on Capabilities on Capabilities of Emergency Response Services published by the Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF) in September 2013.
The RRDA program complies with the following regulations:
Owners of new ABS-classed tankers, bulk carriers, large gas carriers, containerships and tank barges receive enrollment in the program without charge and the modelling fee is waived. The first year’s annual fee is also waived.
