To help shipowners prepare Part I of the Inventory of Hazardous Materials (IHM) for existing ships, ABS has developed an IHM application. The IHM application provides the following:
1. Data capture form for shipowners to systematically input the assessment of a ship for presence or absence of hazardous material.
2. Capability to transform the inputs in the data capture form into a visual/sampling check plan (VSCP) for onboard visual/sampling check and/or an IHM for the ship
