The ABS Type Approval Program is a voluntary product approval solution available to qualified manufacturers who are targeting promotion of their products to marine and offshore sector consumers. Depending on the manufacturing process, ABS can provide both individual unit certification for critical components and extend Type Approval to mass produced products in support of efficient and cost-effective manufacturing strategies. Additionally, manufacturers certified under this program receive specific logos for marketing material and are included in our online database to recognize products that conform to industry standards and ABS rules. .
