Paul Karam

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, OPERATIONS

In this role, he has operational responsibilities across all of ABS, including Survey Operations, Engineering, Health, Safety, Quality and Environment, and the ABS MyFreedom™ Client Portal.

Karam began his career with ABS in 1993 as a surveyor in Houston, Texas. He later moved to Geoje Island and Ulsan, Korea and then to Shanghai, China, where he served as Senior Surveyor and Lead Surveyor.

Over the course of his 30-year career with ABS, Karam has held several management and leadership roles, including Total Quality Management Manager, Assistant Country Manager for China, Regional Vice President for Northern Pacific, Corporate Chief of Staff, Senior Principal Surveyor for the Pacific Division, and most recently as Vice President of China Operations, overseeing operations in mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Karam holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Marine Engineering from the Maritime College at the State University of New York.
