ABS Presents at Offshore Support Journal Conference in London
On Wednesday February 7, ABS presented at the Offshore Support Journal Conference held in London, UK. Sean Bond, Engineering Director, ABS London presented on Creative OSV Conversions for Emerging New Markets. This presentation took place within the technology and innovation stream of the conference and addressed the repurposing of offshore support vessels in order to create new business opportunities. These new opportunities then allow continued up keep and maintenance of the vessel and crew employment, as well as covering the financial costs of the vessel.
At ABS, we recognize that advances in technology are opening new opportunities for the specialized vessel fleet. We anticipate developments in offshore vessel design, equipment and systems and are investing now in updating and expanding our guidance for these vessels so the industry can confidently continue to look to us for leadership.
