I3P Design Review Certificate
A DRC is based on an independent third-party assessment of design documentation to verify compliance with:
I3P Statement of Compliance
A SoC is based on a review of I3P and supporting documentation during manufacturing, transportation, installation, commissioning and operation to confirm that assets, equipment or components are fabricated, installed or tested in compliance with:
- Any additional criteria defined in the agreed scope
I3P Certificate of Conformance
A CoC is an independent third-party certification that incorporates the I3P DRC and the I3P SoC. The CoC attests that the reviewed design and associated inspection activities comply with applicable industry codes and standards, project specifications and regulatory requirements as defined in the agreed scope of work.
I3P Statement of Fact
An SoF is an objective written report documenting ABS’ direct observations during client-requested inspection and/or test witnessing activities.
I3P Project Certificate
The I3P Project Certificate provides independent certification of an energy project or field, such as an offshore wind farm, solar farm or subsea production field. Certification is delivered through a defined set of technical and assurance modules, tailored to the project and agreed scope of work, to verify that the project meets applicable requirements and standards.
API Type Approval (API 1PTC)
ABS supports API 1PTC by serving as an Independent Type Certification Organization (ITCO), providing the independent design and manufacturing conformance certifications defined in the standard. ABS performs two key certification processes:
API 1PTC complements ABS’ broader I3P offerings by providing an API-aligned pathway for manufacturers who must demonstrate compliance with recognized oil and gas industry expectations.
