Arinjit Roy

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, WESTERN OPERATIONS

 

Arinjit Roy is the Senior Vice President of Western Operations at ABS. In this role, he has operational responsibility over North and South America and Europe, including survey operations, client service delivery and financial responsibility.

With experience in the marine, offshore and power generation industries, Roy is leading change within ABS to gain operational efficiencies and prepare the survey workforce to expertly navigate challenges brought on by the digital era, alternative fuels and changing technologies within the industry.

Roy began his career at Tampa Bay Shipbuilding as Assistant Drydock Supervisor before joining Tidewater Marine as a port engineer. He joined ABS in 2006 as a surveyor in the Morgan City, Louisiana port office.

He has since held various roles at ABS, including Divisional Lead Offshore Surveyor for the Pacific, Assistant Country Manager for Korea, Operations Manager of the Northern Pacific Region, covering Korea and Japan, Director of the Tanker Market Sector, Vice President of Business Development for North America, and Vice President of Regional Operations for Europe and Africa.  Roy also served as the Senior Vice President of  Survey Operations for the Pacific, Asia, the Middle East and Africa before assuming his current role.

Roy is a member of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers and holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering Technology from Maine Maritime Academy and a Master of Business Administration from Nicholls State University.
