Energy Audits

Onboard energy audits are offered by the Asset Performance Management team to analyze how individual system and operational adjustments might affect vessel performance and energy consumption. Audit results present management companies with pathways to greater energy conservation.

Energy audits are based on an onboard inspection where the following are included:

Benchmark main engine and auxiliary engine performance towards reference curves and the SFOC are measured for various load conditions
The fuel consumption during various load cases (speeds)
The electrical load of various consumables

The Energy audit leads to an optimization of the energy consumption on board and improves the overall operational performance of the vessel.
