ABS Recognized at Lloyd's List Awards for Maritime Service

ABS was presented with the Maritime Service Award at the Lloyd’s List 2015 North American Awards ceremony held 18 February 2015 at the Houstonian Hotel, Club and Spa in Houston.

The Maritime Services Award recognizes ABS’ exceptional achievement or contribution to any service sector of the North American maritime industry by a company, individual or organization.

ABS has increased its regional capabilities to address the rising environmental and performance challenges faced by the industry. ABS released the landmark study Bunkering of Liquefied Natural Gas-Fueled Marine Vessels in North America. The report provides a blueprint for potential owners and operators of gas-fueled vessels, as well as LNG bunkering vessels and facilities, to receive regulatory approval for North American projects. ABS also provides technical analysis for a number of potential LNG projects in North America. In the area of environmental performance and compliance, ABS continues to serve as the leading authority on requirements impacting North American operations.
