ABS at IMDEX Asia 2017

ABS exhibited at the International Maritime Defence Expo in Singapore (IMDEX Asia) from May 16-18, 2017. A biennial event, it brings together high-profile naval and maritime defence industry key players and decision makers in the Asia Pacific region, and delivers an integrated experience for learning about products, services and innovative technologies.
ABS was invited to chair the Commercial Maritime Cyber Security Forum on the show floor. ABS President, Pacific Division Derek Novak delivered an impressive opening speech and kept the floor excited during the panel discussion with two other cyber security industry experts.
ABS International Government Services team members Sharat Valluri, Director, Technology and Business Development, and Jihed Boulares, Managing Principal Engineer, both presented in the Technology Seminar. The presentations discussed the ABS Service Life Evaluation Program (SLEP) and ABS Naval Ship Code Compliance and Certification.
The International Navy Engineering Conference (INEC), organized by iMarEST, was held in conjunction with IMDEX Asia. Many navies, commercial and military ship operators, designers, ship builders, manufacturers and defence-related organizations and academia participated as delegates of this conference. Both Sharat and Jihed presented in their technical session on SLEP, and Chih-Wei Lui, Principal Engineer, Pacific Division presented on the Ideal Applications for Marine Hybrid DC Electrical Systems on Naval Vessels.
