ABS Shares the Outcomes from IMO’s MEPC 69 Session at a Series of Seminars Across Europe

ABS recently hosted a series of seminars and workshops across Europe sharing the latest news from the IMO Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC 69) meeting which concluded on 22 April.

ABS’ Thomas Kirk (Director, Environmental Performance) and Stamatis Fradelos (Principal Engineer, Operational and Environmental Performance) both attended MEPC 69 and provided an overview of the outcomes from the sessions and the likely impacts for ship owners and managers.

Thomas Kirk is a member of the US Delegation at the IMO and Stamatis Fradelos is ABS’ representative on the IACS Environmental Panel.

ABS has produced a short MEPC 69 briefing document, which is available to download from the ABS website.  A full report of the meeting will be included in the next ABS International Regulatory News Update.
