Cyber Security a Focus at Offshore Vision 2017


On Wednesday December 12, ABS presented at the Offshore Vision 2017 Conference held in Trieste, Italy. Pantelis Skinitis, Manager, CyberSafety, ABS presented on CyberSafety – Practical Solution to a Vexing Challenge.

The ABS presentation gave an introduction to cyber security, provided context for cyber security application in the maritime industry  and explained how risk-assessment is key to understanding and managing security.

A key focus of the presentation was the ABS CyberSafety® program, which provides asset owners, shipyards, designers, vendors and ship managers tools and knowledge to understand, manage and help mitigate cyber security, software quality and data integrity risks.
