In this 15-minute webinar, Ju Tu, a specialist in our Corporate Programs division, will provide an overview of the ABS External Specialist Program. We will present the many benefits of recognition within the program and how it can help strengthen your competitive position in the marine and offshore markets.
The external specialist program is developed based on IACS UR Z17, Procedural Requirements for Service Suppliers. External Specialists offer a variety of highly specialized services such as gauging, testing, measuring and maintenance to support class and statutory surveys. These services are often provided to shipyards and vessel owners in support of onboard survey activity.

Ju Tu has been with ABS for 5 years as a Senior Program Specialist in Corporate ABS Programs. She is responsible for daily operations, marketing material development and continuous process improvement of External Specialist, Approved Service Provider and Type Approval certifications programs offered to manufacturers and service suppliers in the marine and offshore industry. Ju received her Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering from Tianjin University.
