Abuja MoU Joins Tokyo and Paris MoU CIC on Crew Wages and Seafarer Employment Agreements

Member authorities of the Abuja MoU on port state control will launch a joint Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) on Crew Wages and Seafarer Employment Agreements (MLC, 2006).

The goal of the CIC is to increase industry familiarity of MLC, 2006, regulations on crew wages and seafarer employment agreements through the verification of vessel compliance with these requirements.

Shipowners and operators may use the checklist to review their vessel’s compliance with respect to the focus of this CIC.

This campaign will be held for three months, commencing from September 1, 2024, and ending November 30, 2024.
