Caribbean MOU Launched CIC on Fire Safety and Pilot Ladder Transfer Arrangements

From September 1^st through November 30^th this year, the Caribbean MOU on Port State Control will focus their inspections on Fire Safety Systems and Pilot Ladder Transfer Systems/Arrangements. This Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) is structured to verify if ships meet the mandatory fire safety requirements of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) and the International Code for Fire Safety Systems (FSS Code) and to validate vessel compliance with SOLAS requirements for Pilot Ladder Transfer Arrangements.
