Non-tank Vessel Response Plan Implementation Date Reminder

The US Coast Guard (USCG) has issued a reminder to owners or operators of non-tank vessels, 400 gross tons and above, operating on the navigable waters of the US to prepare and submit oil spill response plans to the USCG by 30 January 2014. USCG is using an Interim Operating Authorization (IOA) process to assist owners and operators in meeting the deadline. The compliance reminder includes minimum requirements for the IOA issuance.

Additional information is available on the USCG Homeport website under Missions > Environmental > Vessel Response Plan Program.
