EU Ship Recycling Regulation

European Union (EU) regulation 1257/2013 on ship recycling entered into force on 30 December 2013. The Regulation essentially applies the ship recycling requirements of the Hong Kong Convention to ships flagged with EU Member States, as well as requirements for the carriage of an Inventory of Hazardous Materials (IHM) on non-EU flagged ships calling at EU ports.
